Nothing has rolled out a new software update for its Nothing Phone 2, which was launched in July 2023 with Android 13-based NothingOS 2.0. The phone has since received the Android 14 update and is now getting the NothingOS 2.5.5 update. The new update includes bug fixes and other improvements, along with the integration of ChatGPT. This update follows the launch of Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear (A), which also feature ChatGPT integration.
The company announced in a community post that Nothing Phone 2 users can now access the ChatGPT integration feature through the NothingOS 2.5.5 update. However, to use this feature, users must install the latest version of ChatGPT from the Play Store on their devices.
ChatGPT Integration
The update adds a new gesture option in the Nothing X app, allowing users to start a voice conversation with ChatGPT on Nothing Ear and Nothing Ear A. The company mentioned that this feature will soon be available on other Nothing audio products as well.
NothingOS 2.5.5 also introduces ChatGPT widgets that allow users to launch ChatGPT in various modes directly from the home screen. Additionally, a new button has been added to the screenshot and clipboard pop-up, enabling users to paste content directly into a new conversation with ChatGPT.
