North East estate agency Pattinson, based at Silverlink Business Park, has expanded its operations with the acquisition of a new office building adjacent to its main headquarters. This move comes as a response to the significant increase in demand for its services, allowing the firm to better accommodate its growing staff and expand its national auction operations.
The agency’s recent office acquisition follows a year marked by significant growth, including the purchase of three North East estate agencies, namely NS Bennett Estate Agency in Stanley, Ryedales Estate Agency in Cramlington, and Browns in Stockton and Norton. These strategic acquisitions have increased Pattinson’s regional presence to 30 branches, enhancing their service capabilities across the area.
With a turnover of £14.7 million reported for 2022, Pattinson has established a formidable presence in the North East property market. The firm attributes a portion of its growth to the popularity of auction sales, which have seen a marked increase after expanding its network with over 3,700 partner agents across the UK. This broad network has enabled the company to cater to a wide range of client needs across the country.
The newly acquired office is designed to support both the recent staff influx and the firm’s national auction facility, Pattinson Auction. The ground floor of the new building will serve this purpose, while the first floor will continue to be leased to an existing tenant, demonstrating a strategic use of space to maximise operational efficiency.
Group Managing Director Justin Beckwith remarked on the firm’s success: ‘We have had a record-breaking year so far and are continuing that upward trajectory due to the current high demand for property. People are becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of selling through auction.’ This sentiment was echoed by Chris Pearson from the selling agency, noting the high standard and prime location of the property purchased.
The expansion of Pattinson estate agency underscores its robust growth strategy and its commitment to meeting the rising demand for property services.
