Department Leeds Dock has rapidly evolved from its initial opening less than a year ago, transforming a former waterside casino into a vibrant hub for creative, media, and tech enterprises. The developers have integrated a variety of workspaces including hot desks, permanent desks, premium suites, and private studios. This modern facility is designed to foster both professional and social interactions, featuring communal areas with a bar, kitchen, and lifestyle pop-up spaces.
Since its inception, the facility has attracted 60 businesses and 360 individuals from sectors such as digital marketing, public relations, investment, and technology startups. This burgeoning business community underscores Department Leeds Dock’s appeal as a dynamic working environment.
The introduction of Level 2 this autumn marks another phase in its expansion, offering additional 3,860 square feet of private offices, meeting rooms, and a content creator’s suite. Ample social spaces including areas with phone booths and event spaces with bars have also been added, further enhancing the building’s versatility.
A standout feature of the new development is the boutique cinema, available for private hire. This venue can accommodate between 38 to 60 guests, with flexible seating ranging from plush sofas to theatre-style arrangements. Enhanced by a state-of-the-art surround sound system, it’s apt for presentations, speaker events, and brand launches. Amy Matthams, the general manager, highlighted the cinema’s potential as a unique setting for office parties and events, offering an array of engaging activities at Leeds Dock, from dining experiences to paddleboarding.
The continuous evolution and expansion of Department Leeds Dock clearly illustrate its commitment to delivering a robust and adaptable workspace environment.
