Edition, a significant residential development in Birmingham, has officially been launched. The project, located on Brindley Drive near The Library of Birmingham, introduces two towers, Park Residence and Centenary Tower, with a total of 581 apartments for sale. The construction site, previously occupied by the Paradise Circus council car park, is undergoing demolition, marking the project’s commencement.
The ambitious estate, designed by architecture firm CallisonRTKL and interior designers Weedon Architects, promises to offer extensive amenities for its residents. A notable highlight includes 23,000 square feet of facilities such as a pool, rooftop outdoor spa, private dining rooms, a cinema room, a skyline gym, and a co-working space. These features aim to provide a high-quality living experience, aligning with Birmingham’s urban development goals.
In addition to enhancing the living standards, the Edition project is projected to create roughly 300 jobs during its development phase, which includes opportunities for 60 apprenticeships. This move not only boosts employment but also contributes to skill development in the region, a vital aspect of the local economy.
Court Collaboration, the Birmingham-based developer leading this project, collaborates with Select Property for strategic marketing. According to Court Collaboration’s Chief Executive Thomas Taylor, the interest in Edition has been ‘extremely heartened.’ He acknowledged the partnership with Select Property as a stride towards effectively reaching the market.
The Edition project is slated for completion in 2027, with Midgard appointed as the lead contractor and PGIM Real Estate as the funding partner. Highlighting Birmingham’s 20-year city centre masterplan, Adam Price, CEO of Select Property, underscored the city’s rental growth forecasts, supported by robust transport links and cultural offerings. Price expressed that Edition represents a unique investment opportunity, expected to be central to the city’s historic centre, amid anticipated public and private investments.
Edition symbolises Birmingham’s evolving architectural landscape, promising growth and enhancing urban living.
