The British men’s outdoorwear brand Trailberg is gearing up to launch its first permanent retail location in the bustling Manchester Arndale Centre this summer. This venture marks a significant milestone for the brand, renowned for its specialised mountain running sportswear.
Trailberg has entered into a five-year lease agreement for a space spanning 1,300 square feet. This unit, previously home to sportswear brand Cruyff, aligns with Trailberg’s aspirations to expand its retail footprint in a highly sought-after shopping locale.
Manchester Arndale boasts a remarkable footfall, having attracted 46 million visitors in 2023 alone. This vibrant shopping centre has recently welcomed other notable retailers, such as Dune and French Connection, further cementing its status as a prime retail hub in the North West.
The addition of Trailberg to the Arndale Centre underscores the dynamic retail environment of the location, where brand diversity is key to maintaining its appeal. This strategy not only boosts foot traffic but also draws interest from both local and international brands.
Steve Gray, head of European retail asset management at Global Mutual, highlights the centre’s strategic approach to building a robust brand mix. “We are close to agreeing further leases with several big name brands, which will take the centre closer to full occupancy,” he stated, emphasising the continuous efforts to enhance the centre’s allure.
Trailberg’s entry into Manchester Arndale exemplifies the strategic growth of both the brand and the retail centre.
