In a strategic move, The Range and Wilko’s parent company, CDS Superstores, has teamed up with THG Fulfil to streamline their fulfilment and courier management operations. THG’s advanced warehouse automation will aid in the efficient handling of orders, supporting The Range’s and Wilko’s continued expansion across multiple retail channels.
The collaboration leverages a new fleet of Geekplus Goods-To-Person robots, introduced at THG’s Omega facility in Warrington. This technology is set to enhance the brands’ ability to quickly and accurately process a high volume of products, essential for their omnichannel retail strategy.
Alex Simpkin, CEO of CDS Superstores, remarked on the collaboration’s potential to significantly improve logistics, stating: “This strategic partnership with THG Fulfil will allow us to seamlessly handle pick and pack operations for a large proportion of our product range, notably with Wilko’s brand relaunch.” This approach promises faster delivery times and improved service for customers across the UK.
Tom Killeen, COO of THG Ingenuity, underscored the partnership’s focus on customer service, highlighting fulfilment as a critical component of brand reputation. “We are committed to delivering on customer promises, placing the end customer experience at the heart of our decisions,” he noted, affirming THG’s role in enhancing CDS Superstores’ customer engagement.
The partnership illustrates a proactive approach towards innovation and efficiency in retail operations, coinciding with THG’s broader strategy to maximise value from its technology platforms, notably through the potential demerger of Ingenuity to sharpen its business focus.
The collaboration sets a new benchmark in fulfilment solutions, promising enhanced efficiency and customer satisfaction for The Range and Wilko.
