Farmison & Co has secured a strategic supply partnership with Wellocks, a leader in the food service industry, marking a significant step forward in its expansion efforts. This agreement enables Farmison to distribute its premium, sustainable meat products to some of Britain’s top dining establishments, significantly broadening its market reach.
The collaboration with Wellocks comes at a pivotal time for Farmison, occurring less than 18 months after it was revived from administration. Led by former Asda CEO, Andy Clarke, and managed by ex-M&S Food director, Andy Adcock, Farmison’s leadership is leveraging this partnership to diversify its customer base beyond direct-to-consumer sales.
Starting from 17 September, Wellocks’ clientele will have access to a curated selection of Farmison’s meats, personally chosen by Michelin-starred chef Pierre Koffmann. This offering marks Wellocks’ inaugural British meat range, distinguished by products such as 32-day dry-aged sirloin and ribeye steaks, heritage breed beef chuck, seven-day aged lamb racks, and free-range chicken.
In addition to prime cuts, the range also includes artisanal offerings like Farmison’s lamb merguez sausages and bone marrow burgers, reflecting the company’s commitment to flavour and quality.
Farmison’s CEO, Andy Adcock, expressed enthusiasm over the partnership, describing it as a critical development for widening the audience for their products. Echoing this sentiment, Wellocks’ managing director, Jill Martin, highlighted their mutual dedication to quality and sustainability, emphasising the importance of traceability in the supply chain.
This partnership underscores the potential of strategic collaborations in amplifying the reach of high-quality, sustainable food products.
