Silas Adler, who established the renowned Danish fashion brand Soulland in 2002 at the age of 17, announced his resignation. Over the past 22 years, Adler has transformed Soulland into a distinctive name in the fashion industry, particularly known for its unique blend of artisanship and streetwear. His departure marks the end of an era for the brand, which has been a prominent feature at Copenhagen Fashion Week since its inception in 2007. Soulland’s collaborations with iconic brands such as Nike, Hello Kitty, and Playboy have further cemented its reputation globally.
Since 2006, Soulland has been under the dual leadership of Silas Adler and Jacob Kampp Berliner, a partnership that has driven the brand to new heights. Under their guidance, Soulland secured distribution through prestigious retailers, including End Clothing, Browns Fashion, and Ssense, expanding its reach both domestically and internationally. As of 24 June, the mantle of leadership will be taken solely by Berlin, who has been instrumental as CEO and sales director.
Reflecting on his tenure, Adler remarked, “Soulland has been the journey of my lifetime; more than that, it has been my life since I founded the brand at the age of 17 in December 2002.” He expressed deep gratitude for the experiences and memories he has accrued while running the brand with Kampp Berliner, whom he regards as a cherished colleague and friend. The decision to step down is driven by Adler’s aspiration to explore new opportunities and embrace the uncertainties of the future.
Silas Adler’s departure signals a new chapter for Soulland under the leadership of Jacob Kampp Berliner.
