Cornish clothing brand Seasalt has recently become a certified B Corporation, achieving a remarkable score of 100.2, which surpasses the minimum requirement by more than 20 points. This accomplishment underscores Seasalt’s strong adherence to the rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency set by the B Corp movement.
To attain this prestigious certification, Seasalt underwent an independent and comprehensive assessment where more than 200 questions evaluated various aspects of the business, including governance, worker treatment, environmental footprint, community engagement, and consumer relationships. This process is recognised as one of the most challenging certifications for companies committed to responsible business conduct.
Paul Hayes, Seasalt’s CEO, expressed pride in the attainment of the B Corp status, emphasising the extensive efforts and dedication of the team over the years. Seasalt was founded in 1981 and currently operates more than 70 retail locations and collaborates with over 400 stockists throughout the UK and Europe.
