The majority of these roles will be with Sainsbury’s, accounting for 18,000 positions, while 2,000 roles are allocated to Argos. These postings are set to be on fixed-term contracts ranging from three to 12 weeks. Sainsbury’s has emphasised that the seasonal employment will not only bolster their workforce but also provide opportunities for individuals to gain valuable experience during a bustling period.
In addition to the job creation, Sainsbury’s is offering incentives to its temporary staff, such as free food during shifts and a special discount scheme. Employees will benefit from a 10% discount, with an increase to 15% available on select days.
