Ocado has implemented price reductions on a further 200 branded and own-label products, continuing its ‘Big Price Drop’ initiative. The online grocery retailer aims to alleviate financial strain on consumers as the summer holidays conclude, aligning with its strategic ‘back to school’ pricing campaign.
In this latest round of price adjustments, Ocado’s reductions average at 8% across various products, both branded and own-label. Notable reductions include Heinz Beans, now 25p cheaper at £3.75, Walkers Ready Salted Crisps down by 10p, and a substantial 29% decrease in price for Copella Apple Juice, now retailing at £2.00.
The initiative builds on Ocado’s previous price cuts in June, which saw reductions for over 100 branded, own-label, and Marks & Spencer essentials. This reflects Ocado Retail’s dedication to providing consistent value, emphasised through their expansive choice and premium service.
Ocado Retail CEO, Hannah Gibson, articulated the company’s ethos, remarking: “Ocado is known for our amazing service and unbeatable choice, and delivering great value is just as important to us.” She underscored the current price reductions as a move to support essential shopping needs, particularly during the back-to-school period.
The commitment to offering attractive pricing remains steadfast with Ocado, which plans further expansions of the ‘Big Price Drop’ to include more items in the near future. This focus on affordability, alongside maintaining high standards of service and selection, distinguishes Ocado in the competitive online grocery market.
Ocado’s ongoing price reduction strategy exemplifies its dual commitment to consumer value and quality service.
