Jigsaw expands its footprint in the Irish market through a strategic partnership with the established department store chain, Brown Thomas. This collaboration allows customers in Limerick and Blanchardstown to access Jigsaw’s acclaimed fashion offerings, complemented by an online availability on the Brown Thomas website.
Vikky Baker, head of retail at Jigsaw, highlighted the significance of this alliance, underscoring Brown Thomas as a brand synonymous with quality on the high street. She remarked, “As a renowned name known for delivering quality and premium experiences on the high street, Brown Thomas shares our commitment to excellence and aligns perfectly with Jigsaw’s unique offering.”
The partnership officially launched with Jigsaw’s introduction into Brown Thomas locations on 21 August in Limerick and on 22 August in Blanchardstown. Further enhancing the venture’s reach, the online partnership with Arnotts and Brown Thomas commenced on 1 September, facilitating greater accessibility for Irish consumers.
The expansion comes at a favorable time, given Jigsaw’s parent company, Mountain Berg, reported a notable increase in both profits and sales in its recent annual results. The company’s profits escalated by £700,000 to reach £1.9 million, alongside a 19% sales increase to £56.8 million up to the end of January, marking a significant recovery phase amid challenging market conditions experienced by the brand prior to and during the pandemic.
