Iceland has strategically partnered with Deliveroo to significantly enhance their grocery delivery service offerings, therefore increasing the convenience offered to their consumers. This collaboration allows customers to access over 3,000 of Iceland’s diverse product range, which includes both fresh and frozen groceries, via the Deliveroo platform.
Initiated on the 25th of September 2024, this service commenced in 53 Iceland and The Food Warehouse stores. The rollout plan is ambitious, aiming to encompass over 800 stores by the conclusion of October. This expansion signifies a key growth phase for Iceland, aligning with their strategic objectives to make their products widely accessible.
Justin Addison, Iceland Foods’ Director of International and Partnerships, has expressed enthusiasm about the growth potential this partnership represents. ‘We’re dedicated to making sure our customers can enjoy our innovative, value-driven range of products, no matter where they are,’ he asserted.
Deliveroo is equally optimistic about this collaboration. Suzy McClintock, Deliveroo’s Vice President of New Verticals, highlighted the benefits this partnership offers in meeting the increasing demand for quick and convenient grocery access. She remarked on the ability for customers to receive their selected products in as little as 25 minutes, thus enhancing user satisfaction and product accessibility.
This partnership comes on the heels of another significant collaboration between Deliveroo and Morrisons, which expanded to include 500 Daily convenience stores as well as 390 supermarkets. The grocery delivery sector is evidently experiencing rapid growth, with companies like Deliveroo at the forefront, driving these strategic partnerships.
