Gymshark is expanding its retail footprint with four new stores over the next year.
- The expansion includes locations in Manchester and the brand’s first mainland European store in Amsterdam.
- A pop-up store is set to open in Bicester Village, operational until January.
- This growth follows the recent launch of Gymshark’s Dubai Mall outlet.
- The brand is enhancing its omnichannel strategy to boost its community engagement.
Gymshark is poised to make a significant push in the retail sector by unveiling four new stores within the forthcoming year. As part of this strategic expansion, the company will be setting up outlets in prime locations, including Manchester’s Trafford Centre and Amsterdam’s Kalverstraat, a renowned shopping street in mainland Europe.
The initial stage of this rollout includes a pop-up shop at Bicester Village, which is scheduled to commence trading next month and will continue until January. This initiative serves as a prelude to a broader omnichannel strategy aimed at integrating Gymshark’s online and offline presence.
In early 2025, Gymshark plans to open its third permanent London store at Westfield White City. This follows the successful launches at Westfield Stratford City in July and Regent Street in October 2022. Each location is chosen for its high footfall and vibrant community, aligning with Gymshark’s focus on health and fitness enthusiasts.
The forthcoming Amsterdam store marks Gymshark’s debut in mainland Europe and will be situated in a 10,000 square foot space, echoing the design elements of the Westfield White City store. This new venture underscores the brand’s commitment to bringing the physical Gymshark experience to a broader audience.
Next summer, the Trafford Centre in Manchester will welcome a 7,500 square foot Gymshark store, which will offer its core range along with exclusive items. This opening follows Gymshark’s wholesale presence in Selfridges at the Trafford Centre earlier this year.
Hannah Mercer, Gymshark’s general manager of wholesale and retail, emphasised the brand’s dedication to an omnichannel retail approach, describing the expansion as a ‘ramping up’ moment. According to Mercer, these locations boast not only substantial footfall but also resonate with communities that are passionate about fitness, making them ideal for enhancing Gymshark’s market presence.
Gymshark’s forthcoming store launches signify a key expansion phase, reinforcing its omnichannel strategy and commitment to community engagement.
