The final operational day for Ganni’s London office, located in Islington’s De Beauvoir Block, was on 26 July. It was confirmed that 10 of the 19 personnel employed at this facility will remain with the company, albeit in different arrangements. This will likely involve relocation to Ganni’s other offices in Paris or Copenhagen.
This closure aligns with Ganni’s broader plan to consolidate its European offices. The strategy includes maximizing the potential of its Paris office as the primary global platform while retaining subsidiary offices in New York and Shanghai. The newly appointed CEO, Laura du Rusquec, is based in the Paris office, which underscores its importance in Ganni’s global strategy.
Despite the cessation of its London office operations, Ganni is committed to maintaining its presence within the UK market. The brand continues to operate four stores in London and a store at Bicester Village, alongside partnerships with major department stores and independent retailers.
This major operational shift coincides with leadership changes as former CEO Andrea Baldo transitions to lead Mulberry. This indicates a larger strategic realignment for Ganni, positioning its Paris office as a focal point in the brand’s ongoing expansion and restructuring efforts.
