Seraphine has strategically strengthened its leadership team with notable appointments.
- Jonathon Brown, former CEO of Joules, is now interim CEO at Seraphine.
- Mary Homer, ex-CEO of The White Company, joins as non-executive director.
- Both leaders bring extensive experience and strategic insight to Seraphine.
- This leadership change follows Seraphine’s recent private equity acquisition.
Seraphine, the well-regarded maternitywear retailer, has announced significant enhancements to its executive team by appointing two veterans from the fashion industry. This move underlines Seraphine’s ambition to enhance its market standing and customer engagement.
Jonathon Brown, previously CEO of lifestyle retailer Joules, has assumed the role of interim CEO at Seraphine. Brown’s leadership at Joules was marked by the company’s acquisition by Next in December 2022. At Seraphine, he steps into the role following David Williams’s departure in April, bringing his expertise in navigating acquisitions and market expansions.
Mary Homer, who led The White Company for seven years, now serves as a non-executive director at Seraphine. Her tenure at The White Company was characterised by notable growth and brand development, skills she is expected to leverage effectively at Seraphine. Her departure from The White Company in April marks a new chapter at Seraphine where she will contribute her strategic acumen.
The appointments of Brown and Homer align with Seraphine’s strategic objectives, as articulated by the company’s chair, Bill Ronald. He emphasised their combined capacity to deliver exceptional products and services to Seraphine’s clientele. Their collaboration with Ronald and the management team aims to position Seraphine more competitively in the maternitywear sector.
Following Seraphine’s delisting from the London Stock Exchange in April 2023, driven by a take-private deal involving Mayfair Equity Partners, these leadership changes signal a renewed focus on private equity backing to drive growth and innovation. This new phase is set to harness the extensive experience of both Brown and Homer.
These strategic appointments are set to drive Seraphine’s growth and market presence.
