Flannels has inaugurated its sixth flagship store in Leeds, reinforcing its aspiration to introduce luxury retail to diverse parts of the United Kingdom. The sprawling establishment encompasses six floors and spans 70,000 square feet, offering a comprehensive luxury shopping experience akin to its other prominent stores in London, Leicester, Liverpool, Sheffield, and Newcastle.
The store is not merely a retail outlet but a destination in its own right, tailored to cater to the discerning luxury shoppers of Leeds. It includes a high-end accessories hall, an expansive beauty section, and a Flannels home department, elevating the shopping experience to new heights. Each floor is meticulously curated, with the basement dedicated to Flannels active, and upper floors housing extensive collections of women’s and men’s fashion.
The managing director of premium and luxury at Frasers Group, David Epstein, remarked on the ambition behind this project, stating that Flannels Leeds is one of their most audacious and transformative flagship ventures. He highlighted the store’s role in redefining what it means to shop for luxury in this region, providing consumers with everything from personal shopping services to an all-encompassing fashion and homewares offering.
In addition to its wide-ranging product offerings, the Leeds flagship introduces Sellier, a luxury resale brand previously available through pop-up outlets at other Flannels locations. A dedicated personal shopping suite and the introduction of a new tailoring concept further distinguish this store. Such innovations are indicative of Flannels’ commitment to offering a personalised shopping experience.
The launch signifies a substantial investment in the local economy, with the relocation of 35 existing employees and the creation of 150 new jobs, underscoring the brand’s dedication to growing its presence across the UK. Epstein was quoted expressing his enthusiasm for the store’s unique structure and the array of services and goods available, noting that “the creation here is unparalleled.”
Flannels’ new Leeds flagship embodies a strategic move to broaden luxury retail across the UK, establishing itself as a pivotal market player.
