Premium fresh pasta company Dell’Ugo has teamed up with plant-based brand This to launch two exciting plant-based ravioli lines now available in Morrisons. The collaboration aims to cater to the growing demand for meat-free products in the UK, which boasts approximately 2.5 million vegans.
The Isn’t Bacon & Cheese Ravioli features plant-based bacon lardons paired with dairy-free gouda. Simultaneously, the Isn’t Chicken & Pesto Ravioli incorporates This’ renowned vegan chicken pieces with PDO Genovese basil pesto. These products exemplify how plant-based alternatives can replace traditional ingredients without compromising flavour.
Dell’Ugo’s CEO, Sophia Cooke, highlighted their proactive approach in the vegan sector and acknowledged This for their innovative meat alternatives. She remarked, “We have been blown away, not just by their products, but also their can-do attitude.”
Similarly, This’s Out of Home Controller, Xander Fletcher, expressed delight about the partnership. “We’re ecstatic about this partnership with leading pasta brand Dell’Ugo,” he stated, emphasising the fantastic taste and quality of the new ravioli products.
This collaboration marks a significant step in the plant-based food industry, driven by increasing consumer interest in vegan options. Both Dell’Ugo and This are optimistic about creating more plant-based products for the expanding market.
The successful launch of these ravioli lines underscores the dynamic potential of plant-based culinary innovation and market growth.
