Fashion rental platform, Hurr, has formed a strategic partnership with Deliveroo to revolutionise delivery times for its customers in central London. This collaboration allows Hurr’s customers to receive their fashion rental orders in a remarkable time frame of just 20 minutes instead of the usual next-day delivery.
As of 20 November, individuals within central London can enjoy swift delivery of their Hurr rentals, courtesy of Deliveroo’s efficient bike courier service. This new delivery option is available for a select range of over 50 dresses from esteemed brands such as 16 Arlington, Santa Brands, Self-Portrait, Nadine Merabi, and Rixo.
While Deliveroo enables this rapid delivery, it currently does not support the return of rental items. Instead, Hurr provides customers with a returns label to send back their items at the end of the rental period, which ranges from four to 30 days.
Victoria Prew, the founder of Hurr, expressed excitement about the partnership, describing it as an opportunity to enhance customer experience by delivering party wear faster than fast fashion. Meanwhile, Eric French, COO of Deliveroo, highlighted the novelty of this collaboration in the rental fashion market, marking Deliveroo’s initial venture into the fashion realm.
The initiative underscores a progressive move towards making high-end fashion more accessible, convenient, and reflective of modern consumer demands. It also signifies Deliveroo’s broader ambitions to diversify its service offerings beyond traditional food delivery, as evidenced by its similar ventures with other retail sectors, including the on-demand delivery of products from Ann Summers.
This partnership between Hurr and Deliveroo represents an innovative shift in the fashion rental market, promising unprecedented convenience for consumers.
