British menswear retailer Charles Tyrwhitt has made a significant expansion in its retail operations by inaugurating a new outlet today at the former Superdry concept store in Cheltenham. This marks the brand’s eighth new store within an 18-month period, underscoring its aggressive growth strategy.
Located at 102-104 Promenade in Cheltenham’s central area, the new store occupies a 2,787 square foot space previously housing the local brand Superdry since 2021. The building itself is a Grade II-listed establishment, adding historical value to the store’s modern retail offerings.
The new store includes advanced omnichannel capabilities, featuring shoppable touch screens. These allow customers to browse and purchase from Charles Tyrwhitt’s complete range, from formal to casual wear, to be delivered directly to their homes, thereby enhancing the shopping experience.
As the 44th global location for Charles Tyrwhitt, the Cheltenham outlet reinforces the brand’s commitment to enriching the high street shopping experience. Joe Irons, the Chief Marketing Officer, highlighted the store’s potential to attract both local residents and tourists, offering them unparalleled service and premium products.
The opening is part of Charles Tyrwhitt’s larger plan to unveil six more stores by the end of this year, aiming not only to boost sales but also to secure a stronger foothold in the competitive menswear market.
Charles Tyrwhitt’s strategic expansion in Cheltenham exemplifies its commitment to both market growth and enhancing customer experiences.
