End Clothing, a renowned luxury retailer, has confirmed that Lea Cranfield, their Chief Buying and Merchandising Officer, is set to depart the company in August. Having joined End Clothing in May 2023 from Yoox Net-a-Porter, Cranfield played a crucial role in strengthening the retailer’s capabilities and supporting team growth during her tenure.
As a strategic measure, Terry Betts has been appointed as the interim Chief Buying and Merchandising Officer, starting on 1 July. Betts brings a vast amount of experience, having held senior positions at various acclaimed establishments, including director of special projects at The Elder Statesman and overseeing crucial functions at Thread, Selfridges, and Yoox Net-a-Porter.
Amid these leadership changes, End Clothing has also announced internal promotions to bolster its team further. Dean Walker, previously the Head of Buying, has advanced to the Director of Sports and Energy role. Additionally, Sevcan Halit, formerly a Senior Buyer, has been promoted to Buying Manager, overseeing the womenswear, lifestyle, and accessories departments.
With plans to strengthen its buying team, End Clothing has recruited Louise Schwartz from Mr Porter as a Senior Buyer. Assisted by these strategic shifts, the retailer aims to continue its growth trajectory and enhance its market positioning.
CEO Parker Gundersen expressed his appreciation for Cranfield’s impactful leadership and contributions to the company. While acknowledging the gap Cranfield’s departure will create, Gundersen is enthusiastic about working with Betts, whose industry reputation and depth of experience are expected to provide robust leadership for the team.
These strategic leadership changes at End Clothing aim to fortify its market presence and support continued growth.
