Authentic Brands Group, a conglomerate managing over 50 global brands including Ted Baker, Hunter, Reebok, and Forever 21, has inaugurated its new European headquarters in London. Located at 5 Marble Arch, the headquarters spans 25,000 square feet and serves as both product showcase and operational office for the company’s European endeavors. The space is designed to enhance collaboration and serve as a central hub for the company’s growth initiatives in the region.
The establishment of this office marks an essential step in Authentic’s strategy to reinforce its foothold in the European market, with an operational team of approximately 70 employees stationed there. Jarrod Weber, the global president specializing in sports and lifestyle, expressed enthusiasm about the new headquarters, stating, “As Authentic continues to establish its presence globally, we are pleased to open our new corporate office at 5 Marble Arch, which serves as the headquarters for our European division. Being on-site for this rollout was great, and our doors have been and will continue to be open for business.”
In parallel with expanding its physical footprint, Authentic Brands Group has announced a significant acquisition. On 5 June, the company disclosed an agreement to acquire the intellectual property and certain operational assets of the well-known sportswear brand Champion. This acquisition is valued at $1.2 billion (£940 million) and underscores the group’s commitment to growing its portfolio with strategic additions.
Moreover, Authentic is in the process of finding a new operating partner for the retail and e-commerce ventures of Ted Baker in the UK and Europe, after its descent into administration earlier in the year. This move is part of a broader strategy to revitalise and stabilise the brand’s operations across key markets.
The unveiling of the new London headquarters and recent strategic acquisitions underline Authentic Brands Group’s commitment to expanding its influence within the European market and beyond.
