Abercrombie & Fitch has opened a new store located at 2 Horner Square in Spitalfields, marking its first establishment in east London. This opening adds to their existing presence in the city, which includes locations on Carnaby Street, Westfield White City, and Battersea Power Station.
The newly launched store offers both women’s and men’s collections in what the brand describes as a ‘light and bright space.’ This enhances the consumer shopping experience, aligning with Abercrombie & Fitch’s commitment to providing engaging retail environments.
In addition to the physical retail offerings, the store features advanced omnichannel capabilities such as click-and-collect services. This complements an art installation showcasing photography from around London, adding a cultural touch to the shopping experience.
Financially, Abercrombie & Fitch has exhibited notable success, with a reported 282% increase in operating income, reaching $130 million (£102 million) for the quarter ending 4 May. The company’s net sales rose by 22% year-on-year to $1 billion (£780 million), representing the highest first-quarter sales in its history.
The company’s financial projections have been revised upward, with anticipated net sales growth of around 10% for the current financial year, a significant increase from previous estimates of 4% to 6%. Scott Clarke-Bryan, managing director of EMEA, highlighted the strategic importance of the Spitalfields location, emphasising its alignment with the lifestyle of Abercrombie’s target customers.
