Experts at Linkee.ai recently conducted a study to rank the fastest growing jobs in marketing. The data about projected job growth, salary, unemployment rate and number of jobs was taken from US Bureau of Labor Statistics as well as from the reports by Zippia. This information was complemented by Google searches for job openings as well as open vacancies on Glassdoor. The final ranking was made based on the projected job growth.

Search engine marketing specialists take the second place in the ranking of the fastest growing marketing jobs. Projected job growth for SEM specialists is 19% and there are 8.9K monthly searches for the vacancies in the field. The amount of open vacancies on Glassdoor is similar to AI marketing assistants but the unemployment rate for SEM specialists is higher with 5.2%.
Marketing assistants follow closely with the third place and similar 19% job growth. Marketing assistants are the most popular job in this ranking with over 400K people having a job in this field and with 58K job openings on Glassdoor.
Market research analysts hold the forth place, having the job growth of 13%. People are actively searching for job openings online with 45K monthly searches. The role of the marketing assistant is also an appealing marketing role because of a higher average salary and the lowest unemployment rate in the ranking.
Marketing strategists take the fifth place among the fastest growing jobs in marketing with the expected job growth of 12.5%. The position is sought-after online with 49K searches. There were 98K marketing strategy jobs in the US in 2023 and over 9K jobs currently have an opening on Glassdoor.
Channel marketing managers are sixth, expecting a job growth of 10%. It is not popular online but the average salary is higher than for a marketing strategist or a research analyst.

This job has a wide range of salaries for every level of professionals and there were around 132K jobs in event marketing in 2023. While the event marketing management has the highest unemployment rate in the ranking, there are still 5.5K job openings on Glassdoor.
Product marketing managers take the ninth place with the expected job growth of 7%. This position is often looked up online but there are fewer job openings than people looking up for this job with 22.9K vacancies on Glassdoor. Product marketing management also has the highest average salary in the ranking between $122K-157K.
Marketing managers close the ranking of the fastest growing jobs in marketing with tenth place and 6.79% expected job growth. Marketing management is the most sought-after job online with 229K searches. It also provides for over 300K jobs across the US, being second to only marketing assistants in this ranking.
