Former England striker, Gary Lineker’s respected commentary, alongside Shearer and Richards’ mix of expertise and relatability, has secured its top spot. “The Rest is Football” has soared in popularity during sporting events, accumulating 19.6 million downloads and full episode YouTube views during Euro 2024, with an additional 66 million views across social media platforms during the same period.3

Arsenal’s podcasting landscape is especially strong, with “Arseblog Arsecast, The Arsenal Podcast” being the most popular club-focused podcast overall, followed closely by “Handbrake Off and The Arsenal Vision Podcast”. Manchester United also dominates the podcast scene, with “Football’s Greatest” as their top show and the second most popular club-focused podcast overall, while “Talk of the Devils” ranks third among all football club podcasts.
Liverpool, Celtic, and Aston Villa rank second in club dedicated podcasts, each with three podcasts. Liverpool’s “The Redmen TV – Liverpool FC Podcast” leads with comprehensive coverage, while Celtic fans enjoy “20 Minute Tims”, and Aston Villa supporters rely on “1874”.
